Conceived at a drag show in Brooklyn in August 2014, Acid Dad has quickly become one of the most talked-about bands in the New York scene. Over the past year, their string of infectious psych-punk singles has earned them nods from the likes of Nylon, The Deli, CMJ, Village Voice, Impose, Hero Mag and more, and has garnered them slots on Gigawatts Festival and Color Me Bushwick. Dingus once described them as “so fucking good,” and if you listen to their latest single, “Grim,” you’ll see why. Between dropping awesome tracks like that one, Acid Dad has made a name for themselves as one of the tightest and most energetic live bands in the Brooklyn scene. The band recently played 6 CMJ shows, including Austin Psych Fest's Levitation showcase at Rough Trade along with Drinks, Mild High Club and Shannon & the Clams. Look out for their debut EP in early 2016.
