Bronze Radio Return can definitely be heralded as an usher of good times. Their rollicking, roots-rock inspired sound is a perfect soundtrack to warm days and weekend nights, and their high energy live shows are notorious. If you didn’t know they were from Hartford, CT, you’d swear they were from down south!

The band was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Henderson after he attended the Hartt School of Music. The name Bronze Radio Return was inspired by an old radio Henderson grew up listening to in his father’s art studio in Maine. The group was first discovered by legendary producer Doug Derryberry (Bruce Hornsby, Ben Folds Five) at a show in NYC. Derryberry went on to produce the band’s first album in 2008.

The music video for their party anthem “Down There” has gotten close to 200,000 hits on Youtube, and their songs has been licensed by everyone from ESPN to HBO. Clearly the band is doing something right in crafting fun, upbeat indie-folk songs.

A must see band with a cold beer in one hand and a fist pump in the other!
