Every song on his debut album Songs of Praise and Scorn cooks with both down-home comfort and avant-garde brio…”-The Village Voice

…what a real self-contained, modern-day troubadour looks and sounds like
-American Songwriter

From the fast streets of Brooklyn comes indie-artist Christopher Paul Stelling, originally from Florida. Stelling is a soulful and talented songwriter whose poetic lyrics have earned him a reputation as a modern-day troubadour. He combines his original and insightful lines with refined skills on his well-worn guitar that he picked up in a pawn shop for $200. His original style is hard to pin down and define, but it has been described as “indie-blues” and “earthy folk.”

Known for his raw passion on the stage, Stelling has been touring the country for years, perfecting his craft. His return visit to Savannah Stopover comes just one year after the release of his official debut album Songs of Praise and Scorn. The album caught the ears of many music aficionados and earned him high praise, as well as more loyal followers. He is currently working on his second album, False Cities, which is slated to be released in early 2013.

While his albums capture the essence of this up-and-coming artist, Stelling’s real magic is still best experienced in person. Don’t miss this chance to hear his undeniable talent live.
