Pan is a primarily instrumental post-rock band from Columbia, South Carolina, formed when high school buddies Ian Flegas and Nate Steward were reunited after Ian moved back to SC from New York in 2009. Without a place to stay, Ian crashed on Nate’s floor for two months as they began the writing process for what would become Pan, as in Peter Pan. In January 2010 Ryan Hutchens and Dylan Dickerson joined them on bass and drums to complete the band.  With all the lost boys assembled in August 2012 they release their debut album. “The thunderous guitars collide with percussive orchestral swells creating a memorable soundtrack for the young and young-at-heart.” Although Pan is primarily an instrumental band occasionally vocals are added creating another layer energetic texture. According to the band their goal is to “uplift you and fill you with Positive energy and happiness” with all ties back to the childhood story Peter Pan where “happy thoughts make you fly”.
