Charleston, South Carolina home-grown artist Stop Light Observations, also known as SLO started playing together at the young age of 13 when songwriter, composer, music arranger, and pianist John-Keith Culbreth asked lead guitarist Louis Duffie to start a band while attending Wando High School. Through the young years of jamming around, the young duo picked up another childhood friend Luke Withers to step in and play the drums, and over time they added a few other talented musicians to form this dynamic 6 piece band.

The name Stop Light Observations came to songwriter John-Keith Culbreth while stopped at a light in busy traffic.  The way that everyone seemed to take a moment to take it slow during the chaos made its impression of him and set the band in motion. SLO plays a unique style of Alternative Rock with influences of; Rock, Indie, Motown, Hip-hop and Folk, Revival, Americana, Garage, and Arena Rock. They claim their drive to be the fun and spirit of performing and creating music, but most of all the friendship that is shared with it and the story that is told along the way. The truly unique band Stop Light Observations has recorded an album, in The Zoo, that clearly represents the feeling of an aggressive live performance while remaining intimate enough to listen to over and over again.
