Blasting out of Annapolis like a speeding bullet are the young guns of Sun Club. Youth and energy exude from every song making it difficult to not bop and sing. Sun Club formed in June 2010 when a band called Pandomonia decided to collaborate with a guy named Kory for a show. Immediately after the show, they asked Kory to be a permanent member of the band. After playing under the name Pandomonia for a year and a half, the band decided to change their name to Sun Club for their debut self-titled which was released on May 11, 2012. Sun Club has 10 songs with titles such as “Weak Friend Winter Club,” “Repulsive on Chocolate” and “Sand is Overrated.” The song titles came from random groupings of word magnets stuck to a refrigerator. The band name Sun Club also was a result of these magnets.

It’s almost difficult to pinpoint just exactly which part of the rock spectrum they belong to. This freedom of genre emulates the magnets — a jumble of genres and tempos that mix together to form a cohesive unit. The members of the band want the audience to have as much fun listening as they do playing. Be sure not to lose their high-powered, kinetic shows and get lost in their ecstatic music.
