For a band that’s only been together for about 3 and a half years, The Dunwells are making quite an impression on, well, just about everyone that hears them. From their humble beginnings as solo artists in the pubs and clubs of Leeds, England, brothers Joseph and David Dunwell decided to join creative forces and form a band in 2009. They rounded out their sound with the addition of cousins Jonny Lamb and Rob Clayton and long-time best friend Dave Hanson. With their lineup in place, The Dunwells began relentlessly touring throughout the UK, eventually making their way to American shores in 2011 at the International Folk Alliance conference. The band’s debut album, Blind Sighted Faith, was released on February 14, 2012.

With a folk-rock sound akin to early Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Eagles, The Dunwells also count artists and bands like Damien Rice, Radiohead, Ryan Adams, Oasis and the legendary Ray Charles among their influences.

Fresh off the release of their brand new EP, Leaving The Rose, The Dunwells will be touring across the US to support the record and add to their rapidly-expanding fanbase. Be sure to catch them live here at the Stopover!
