The Wild Feathers are a brand new Nashville rock band on the rise consisting of four dexterous musicians, all of whom have fronted bands of their own.”-Filter Magazine

Will release their self-titled debut album this summer, which was produced by Jay Joyce (Cage the Elephant, the Wallflowers, Emmylou Harris).”- WB Records

The downhome sound of The Wild Feathers is enough to make you want to join the ending chorus of “Hard Times” and their other records by the sweet-crooning quad. Their sound screams Americana. They grew up in Austin, sharing a love of the classics like Petty, Dylan, Cash, The Band, The Allman Brothers, Neil Young and Willie Nelson. Having toured with a number of acts, perhaps the most recognizable is Paul Simon, with whom they earned a spot on a fall 2011 tour. Having recently switched record labels, The Wild Feathers show no signs of defeat. Their new label, Warner Brothers, threw them into production immediately to hone their rustic-sounding vocal harmonies. About their harmonies guitarist/vocalist Ricky Young said “Those [rough edges are] definitely one of our characteristics,” he said, laughing. “We try and figure it out. We’re not perfect singers, and that’s OK because we don’t like [perfection] anyway. “We like good songs, and if it sounds good, it sounds good.” They are a truly American band: their music takes elements of the best of rock, country, folk and blues music and reshapes it in a way that is both unique and modern.
