Vensaire

“Animal Collective & Fleet Foxes had an equally talented & glorious baby”-Homeless Tracks
"They delivered fresh sounds while making everyone dance without a moment of self-conscious judgement.”- People People
Brooklyn based band, Vensaire explores it’s thematic ideas through traditional world folk melodies as well as modern musical devices such as sampling and synthesizing.“On their latest track, “If,” the group pulls you in with a soft spoken voice, windy, wistful cooing, and a grand instrumentation full of thoughtful guitar riffs, and gentle violin playing.”
The band explores Classical and philosophical ideas spanning from Homer’s The Iliad to The Tibetan Book of the Dead, even diving into Plato’s Allegory of the Cave for inspiration. In an interview, guitarist Robert Earl Thomas was quoted “If you’re at a party and we’re playing, we want you to dance…but you can take it home and really delve into it in your own brain.” On the EP each song is authored separately by each of the five members of the band as a way to introduce themselves. “Full of light-hearted jangles layered upon an atmospheric grunginess, the EP is both salty and sweet.” As the EP goes on to introduce you to each member of the ensemble you are acquainted with each personality as an individual “like you are meeting a bunch of people at a party,” remarked LaLibertep.
