Presented By: Savannahnow.com, Savannah Magazine and Creative Approach have teamed up to kick off the festival in style! Art and Music collide for one fantastic evening with a Band Poster Reception featuring over 40 posters by local artists and students. Winners will be announced. Prizes will be awarded. Merriment will ensue. Come support Savannah’s local art community with inspirations drawn from this year’s lineup.
Opening night cranks up with performances by Republic Records’ (The Avett Brothers, Of Monster and Men) rising star The Last Bison from Chesapeake, Va.; a 7 piece band that feels like Mumford & Sons moved to the South. The world’s best loved cello wielding sensation Ben Sollee headlines with a full band.
This is an early evening event not to be missed in Savannah’s beautiful new performance space in the Ships of The Sea North Garden… and one of the few festival concerts you can buy individual tickets for in advance.
