Future Generations has been busy since the NYC quintet released its debut LP, Future Generations, in July 2016. Last year the band released a single and video for “One More Problem,” and began work on a second LP, with producer Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, Hamilton Leithauser). The band currently writes and works together in their apartment in Brooklyn, after most of them met in college in New York City.
After the success of the Future Generations LP, bandmembers Eddie, Dylan, Eric, Mike and Devon bought a van and started touring around the country. Each band member prides himself in giving a high-energy show, because you could be anywhere in the world but you’re there with them, and they really appreciate that. They’ve played with plenty other indie acts, including shows with Savoir Adore, Private Island, Undercover Dreamlovers and pronoun.
In addition to FG’s biggest hit, “Stars,” other LP1 songs “Coast” and “You’ve Got Me Flush” surpassed a million streams each last year. Music press and blogs have compared the album to MGMT and Passion Pit, due to the band’s clear love of catchy hooks and dynamic electronic production.
