Originally from a town called Cumming, Georgia, Lakin Crawford moved to Savannah in 2015. Before moving to Savannah to attend Armstrong State University, (Now Georgia Southern University) Lakin was in bands such as Leather Torpedoez and The Glinstons making attempts to showcase his songwriting abilities. After moving to Savannah, Crawford decided to take a break from focusing on music to study Liberal Arts. He has only recently started making appearances in the Savannah music scene with the help of other local artists such as Blake Lumry of local band Rude Dude & The Creek Freaks and House of Strut owner Erica Jarman. Now, in 2018 Lakin plans to put writing songs and making music first again to eventually release an LP before the summer is over.
