We're now officially less than a month away from the 2018 edition of the Savannah Stopover Music Festival. We've got new music from 3 Stopover bands for you this week, plus a great idea for your Valentine! Finally- wait until you see what the folks at Deep Eddy Vodka are bringing to the festival this year!
New Wild Child Record is Out
It’s a new Music Friday, and we’re really excited about the arrival of Wild Child’s new record Expectations. Once you give the new record a spin, you’ll see why we can’t wait to hear these songs live at Stopover. Wild Child is playing a special late-night set at Trinity United Church at 11pm on Saturday, 3/10.
Treat Your Valentine to Stopover
Chocolate and roses are tired - give your Valentine the gift of live music this year! Your Valentine is sure to love a Savannah Stopover pass. Choose from Weekend, 3-Day and VIP. More information is available on our Tickets Page.
Vundabar in Stereogum
Mission of Burma fans do not want to miss the new Vundabar single “Tonight I’m Wearing Silk.” Stereogum recently talked to Vundabar about the motivation behind interpolating MoB’s “That’s When I Reach For My Revolver” into their new track. Read the profile, check out the track below and see Vundabar Barrelhouse South at 10:30pm on Saturday 3/10.
Out of Town Visitors
Coming from out of town for this year’s Savannah Stopover? We look forward to having you! There are a number of places you can rest your head at night following a long day at Stopover. Some of our favorites include Staybridge Suites, The DeSoto Hotel and the Westin Savannah. Get more details on our Accommodations page!
Sarah Shook & the Disarmers in the News
Lots of folks were talking about Sarah Shook and the Disarmers this week! In addition to announcing a new album called Years due out on April 6th, the band released a new single called “Good as Gold.” That song generated lots of buzz from Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Vegan, Saving Country the Daily Country and more! Check out the song’s lyric video below and then catch the band on Friday 3/9 at The Jinx!
Deep Eddy is Back
If you’ve been to a previous Stopover, then there’s little doubt you’ve enjoyed a Deep Eddy cocktail during a show. We couldn’t be happier that the Austin-based Vodka brand is returning for another Stopover this year! We’re really excited that they’ll be bringing their newly decked out Airstream Trailer. The rendering above gives you an idea how cool this thing is, but you’ll have to come by the Ships of the Sea venue during Stopover to see it for yourself- and maybe grab a cocktail while you’re there!
We'll have more news for you next week including a rundown of Stopover venues and more great band news!
