Band Poster Exhibition @ The Jepson
Friday, March 11th 5pm @ The Jepson Atrium
Art and music collide for one fantastic evening with a Band Poster exhibition in conjunction with The Jepson and Art Rise Savannah. On Friday, March 11th the posters will be moved from Ships of the Sea and displayed in the Jepson atrium. Swing on by to take a look if you missed them at Opening Night. We will be spinning some vinyl from 5:30pm to 7pm, along with our "Art Bar" which will be slinging refreshing Lagunitas beer and cocktails..
This annual event is a favorite of local artists and music lovers alike! Every year, a Call For Entries goes out for artists to create a band poster inspired by their favorite band from the Festival lineup. After all posters are submitted, a jury narrows them down to the top ten, and the public is invited to participate in voting for the top finalists. The top finalists are then displayed, and the top four finalists will be announced at Opening Night.

We are thrilled to bring the Dosti Music Project to Savannah Stopover 2016.
Each spring, the Dosti Music Project invites ten world-class musicians from India, Pakistan, and the US to spend a month musically reinventing their world.
These adventurous musicians will collaboratively create original material, melding influences from traditional Sufi Qawwali to Appalachian fiddle tunes to glitchy electronica. All throughout the program, Dosti Fellows will engage with diverse communities through live performances, improv session with local musicians, educational workshops, and on-the-street recording studios.
This Savannah Event is one of only 4 live performances currently scheduled during the month-long program.
