Damn Jackals

Brooklyn, NY

Damn Jackals is 5-piece indie/garage-rock/punk band from Brooklyn NY. Their music is reminiscent of early 70’s Bowie/ T-Rex glam crossed with Johnny Thunders, Television and Iggy & The Stooges fused with a modern flare- pitch shifting guitars, distorted & hazy vocals anchored by fuzzy synthesizers. With the heavy resurgence of Garage rock in Brooklyn in 2019, Damn Jackals stand out with multiple harmonies & an array of contrasted yet cohesive tunes. Their many moods range from the catchy indie stylings of The Strokes & The Growlers (“Rubies” “Dreaming”) to blistering post-punk reminiscent of Black Flag & The Ramones ( “Hades’", “That’s It”). Damn Jackals frequent NYC hotspots such as Baby's All Right, Our Wicked Lady and Berlin. This is their first tour in support of their debut album. Damn Jackals formed in 2016 when Beau Croxton and Mike Goehler transformed Croxton’s upstate home into a DIY recording studio dubbed the ‘Crooked Castle’. The duo recorded what would become the band’s debut release “That’s It” (EP) and subsequent releases “Crooked Castle Vol I & II”. Damn Jackals are Beau Croxton (vocals/guitar) Sean Burke (guitar/synth/vocals) Max Motchan (guitar) Sean McCann (bass) and Mike Goehler (drums).

With vocals that snarl, beats that kick & a delirious mashing of psych and punk aesthetics Damn Jackals deliver the type of garage rock that riles up crowds.

Equal parts jagged distortion, lush synths, wailing guitars riffs, and Croxton’s fuzzed out vocals. The perfect yin and yang of glossy glam rock and sharp dagger-like post-punk.
