Due to today's heavy wind and rain forecast, we unfortunately have to cancel WharfStop. We have to put everyone's safety first; including bands, sound engineers, staff and attendees.

Our disappointment is tempered by the fact that we are already working to reschedule all four of these great bands for future events! Stay tuned for those announcements and stay safe and dry.

Easy Honey

Forged on a Tennessee mountaintop, Easy Honey began molding their irresistible sound and raucous live performance in 2016. With sounds reminiscent of early brit-rock and a nod to 90s alt-rock, Easy Honey captures both the playfulness and maturity that accompanies one’s coming of age. Easy Honey’s throwback sense of touch, taste, and tone washes over the listener like quicksilver but seizes the audience’s ear like quicksand. The group consists of dual frontmen Selby Austin (Vocals & Guitar) and Darby McGlone (Vocals & Guitar), Charlie Holt (Vocals & Drums) and Daniel Comen (Bass Guitar).

Jive Talk

Nashville based Jive Talk has built a reputation for their vibe-heavy, anthemic synth-rock sound, and high energy live performances. Acme Radio praises them as “a breath of fresh air for Music City…they stand out amongst the crowd.” Nashville’s Mike Grimes (owner of Grimey’s Records & The Basement East), even called them “the next big thing out of Nashville.”

Sam Burchfield and The Scoundrels

Sam Burchfield’s latest record ‘Scoundrel’ begins a new saga. The record dives into 11 tales of greed, betrayal, desire, heartache, despair- and redemption. “We recorded these songs on my friend’s farm in South Georgia, tracking live in the same room. It felt right,” Sam recalls of the pre-pandemic recording sessions. “It’s nice to finally have this record out. It’s sort of a marker of a new chapter for me. A new sound, a new direction, and a return to my roots really.”  Ironically, the album artwork is an early 1900s photo of ‘Sam Burchfield, a veteran moonshiner of the Appalachians.’ A very distant Great-uncle, Burchfield claims.
Sam grew up in Seneca, South Carolina, with roots in eastern Tennessee and western Carolina. Burchfield was raised on the mountains, and it’s an evident theme throughout his two EPs and two full length records. Reconnecting to the earth, and reconnecting to each other is the underlying passion that pushes the young songwriter to carry on. Sam is now settled in Jasper, GA with his lovely wife (artist Pip the Pansy) and newborn son.

The Intracoastal Playboys

Savannah’s The Intracoastal Playboys take the idea of a “bar band” to its most literal meaning. Formed by Ryan Schimmenti (vocals, acoustic guitar), Thomas Worley (vocals, drums), Andrew Ripley (vocals, bass), Matt Garapola (vocals, rhythm electric guitar) and Kevin Rose (lead guitar), Intracoastal Playboys are a country supergroup of sorts comprised of (with the exception of Rose) owners and bartenders of local bars including Sea Wolf Tybee, Lone Wolf Lounge, and The Original Pinkie Masters.
